R. H. JEFFERAY. Mr Richard Herman Jefferay, a prominent builder and contractor, died at his home at Gladstone-street, Parramatta, on Tuesday. He was a partner in the firm of Jefferay and Bartlett, which had been responsible for the erection of many important buildings in the city and suburbs. Shortly before his death Mr. Jefferay had been engaged in supervising the erection of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Parramatta; an extensive store for Murrays, Limited, Parramatta: the Freemason's Hotel, Burwood; and a large fac-tory in Stanmore. Mr. Jefferay, who was in hiss 39th year, succumbed to pneumonia, his illness being of brief duration. He is sur-ilved by a widow and six young children. In his youuger days he was a prominent cyclist, and won the Goulburn to Sydney road race. The funeral, which left his late residence for the Church of England Cemetery, Rookwood, was a large and representative one, and at the graveside the Rev. H. W. Barder (All Saints', Parramatta) delivered an eloquent and eulogistic address. The chief mourners were Messrs. J. C. Jefferayy, senr. (father,), C. Jefferay, J. C. Jefferny, Jnr., Geo. Jefferay, and Roy Jefferay (brothers), and D. Sonter (father-in-law). Among others present were: Alderman W. P. Noller (Mayor of Parra-matta), the Rev. John Patterson and Mr. W. Morphett (St. Andrew's Church). Messrs. R. V. Ashley, J. Fielding, A. F. Baker, H. V. Horwood, J. J, Noller, J. W. Perkins, W. Cameron and H. ,M.
